Artist Bio
Keyboardist Hideto Nakayama, a veteran of countless recording sessions and live performances supporting a wide range of artists, launched this project in 2009 to explore the limitless possibilities of music, rooted in jazz but unbound by genre. Their debut album "JNT" (2014) was met with critical acclaim, as was their 2016 follow-up "Forest of Darkness," which led to two successful tours in Taiwan and glowing reviews in JazzLife magazine. With the addition of bassist Kazuyoshi Nakatsukasa in 2020, their third album "Mind of Desert" showcased a more improvisational and dynamic band sound. Their fourth album, "Journey We Did" (2024), represents a significant evolution, seamlessly blending house music influences ("Rakuen"), the mesmerizing vocals of digda's Victoria on "Oh My God," and a daring integration of synthesizers, incorporating elements of minimal music, club music, and hip-hop. Their selection as the cover artist for Spotify's Modern Jazz Japan playlist underscores their position at the forefront of the new jazz movement.
